Mr. Tom Golway
Chief Technologist, Advanced R&D, Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Tom Golway is a respected technologist with an eclectic background, working across technology suppliers, startups, consulting and leading enterprises in Financial Services, Government and manufacturing. He has been successful in a variety of roles, ranging from as a Mathematician at MIT to hardware/software development to a Chief Technology Officer at a startup focused on Intelligent City enablement.
As technologies have evolved, he has maintained a presence within standards bodies and industry forums, contributing ideas and architectural frameworks, serving as a contributor and at times chairing committees. In the past, he was active in the IETF, ANSI, the ATM Forum, more recently the Open Group, EEA and currently Cloud Native Computing Foundation.
In addition to industry forums, Tom has provided thought leadership in the form of blogs, books, patents and speaking engagements. Recent topics have included massively decentralized application architectures, Cryptoeconomics, and next generation trust fabrics.
Tom is currently a Chief Technologist in the Advanced R&D organization of Hewlett Packard Enterprise where his current work is focused on ways to provide governance to massively distributed applications, including policy based orchestration, immutable trust fabrics and infrastructure plasticity.
